October 13th, 2014 update:
Hi Gloria,
I just wanted to thank you for Maggie. She is great. She slept all night last night.  She follows us everywhere, comes when she is called, and has been going to the door to go out (no accidents yet!).  We took her to see my parents and she was a hit at their personal care facility.
I gave her a bath and trimmed her nails when we got home today. She is now fluffier than she was before.

October 13th,2014 update
Hi Gloria!
   Thank you so much for getting back to me! Stella is loving her new home. She is doing awesome at going to the bathroom outside. I can't believe how quickly she learned to do so. She sleeps almost all night without having accidents in the house. She is really a great dog. I have to say though, she gives me a run for my money when it comes to playing or running around the yard. She has non stop energy. Our other two dogs aren't all the way adjusted to her yet but our lab has taken her under her wing and let's her cuddle up and sleep with her. Stella loves car rides and playing ball in the yard. She hasn't exactly learned how to bring the ball back yet. I thought you would enjoy a little end of her first week home update.

Sept 2019 Update:
Well hello there! 

It’s so great to hear from you both! Stella is doing fantastic. She is a happy, healthy and energetic four year old. I’ve got to tell you, God truly does work in mysterious ways. I fell in love with Stella the minute I saw her. It just so happened that she came in the midst of tremendous anxiety. I went through years of treatment to even be able to function, and Stella quickly became my greatest savior. It was almost as if she could sense when I wasn’t feeling well. She would hop right up on my lap and give kisses or run around like a banshee just to make me laugh. She is truly my best friend. We lean on each other quite often, as silly as that sounds. Stella so happens to have a horrible fear of fireworks and thunderstorms, so we help each other out. We’ve had quite a journey together. Believe it or not, Stella’s liver actually doesn’t function as it should. You’d never know looking at her. Although no one can determine what exactly is causing the problem, we’ve worked out a great treatment plan for her and she’s not been sick in over a year! It’s a miracle to say the least. 

In 2017 we bought Henry (Cruise) from you as well. He is just a fantastic boy. He loves his toys and takes every opportunity to give kisses. He is definitely a “mommas boy”. He sleeps on my lap while I work on school work and is the first one to give me a hug when I come home from work. He literally jumps up and puts his arms on you for a hug. He is always by my side and even sleeps next to me on the pillow at night. They’re terribly spoiled. (I wonder who did that! Haha!!) Stella and Henry are the best of friends. They love nothing more than to run and romp in the backyard with their squeaky toys. 

My, not so little, doodles are truly my greatest friends. I can’t thank you enough for the privilege of adding them to my family.

 Veterinary exam was May 13th - Lucky is in good health. She is started on her vaccinations and deworming. Lucky weighed 11.75 lbs
LUCKY IS VERY ENERGETIC AND LOVES PEOPLE. SHE IS INQUISITIVE AND PLAYFUL, BUT SHE ALSO LOVES TO SNUGGLE WHEN YOU HOLD HER. HER HAIR IS WISPY AND SOFT WITH SOME SLIGHT CURLS.

UPDATE ON GUNNER MAY 2014
 Hi Gloria:
     Gunner's ride home went well. He is adjusting good, the grandchildren love him. Cooper loves him too and is very gentle with him. They were playing very nicely this morning chasing each other. I just have to remind Cooper to be careful and there have been only a few yips from Gunner. When that happens, Cooper immediately backs off. So it looks like they will be good buddies. I am sending a picture of them together, hope it gets there. I added a couple other pictures too.
